God is the total provider of everything we have from the smallest to the largest. God is going to require the gratitude of our hearts for what He has given which we have treated so lightly. It has been God that has established this work for His glory and for His kingdom.
There are many times when I’m feeling thankfulness to God yet our people can’t even come together to wash a dish or sweep the floor or to pick up the trash outside because they don’t have to do it. God has given us of His Spirit to learn how to hear His voice and obey it. We have to be responsible for chores whether we want to or not; we are going to be responsible to hear His voice and obey it. This is what this work is all about.
Many have said that they haven’t heard Him. But if you haven’t heard the voice of God directly, you have heard it over and over again these last 46 years, because that’s exactly why God placed me in this desert to teach people how to hear His voice and obey it. He said, “If you hear My voice and obey it I will be your God and You will be my people.” Where are we coming from? We have a lot of things and doctrines; but His word will last for eternity if we hear it.
How did you come to the Lord? How many of you know the Lord personally? Praise God! Time is short. God still has a plan that must go to the nations. I know we have our own ways and do our own things but God has His ways and He wants us to learn His ways and do what He has commanded us to do.
Father, we give you glory! We magnify Your name and we thank You; we thank You for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We thank You for this place where You have placed us to bring glory and honor to Your name. We are here to hear and obey Your voice and to know that You have a purpose in our being here. Lord, we magnify Your name and thank You that there is a new depth, a new dimension, and a new millennium.
Lord, You’re placing before us Your strategy, not the strategy of man and we thank You for it. Open our ears to hear and our hearts to receive; help us obey what You command us to do. We give You glory and praise for everything that You have accomplished at this place from the beginning. Lord, we thank You for changing of lives. We thank You for feeding the hungry and clothing the naked and meeting the needs of the homeless. We thank You, Lord Jesus, that You are with us. Help us to be obedient to Your voice and hear and obey, oh God, and accomplish what You have for us to do.
We thank You, Lord, that You said You were going to pour out Your Spirit in this place and we thank You for accomplishing it. We thank You for what You have placed in every heart and mind and let those that hear be obedient. We give you glory and thank You, God, that we have a living God not a God of stone or word. A living God who hears our prayers and speaks to us and that we hear Your voice and we obey it and we do what you command us to do.
We give You glory, wonderful Father; We give You glory, Jesus and Holy Spirit of the Living God. We thank You and honor You and with all our hearts we are grateful that You love us so much and we are grateful for this wonderful love that You’ve imparted to us. We give You glory, in Jesus name. Amen.
John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son that we can sit here at Sommer Haven and say we are born again. No, there’s more! We know Him because He has redeemed us. How important is it to you, today, that Christ died for You? He gave His life for you. Why did He die for you? “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
How is the world through Him going to be saved? We sit like we have nothing to do in the world. We have our living, our food, we have everything. What do we give back to Him? For He so loved this world and didn’t condemn it; but that the world through Him shall be saved.
I know a lot of the saints pray all the time, come Lord Jesus, but the world isn’t saved! Why isn’t it saved; because we have not taken Him to the world! We have not taken Jesus and Jesus has not taken us because we haven’t been willing to give our lives 100% to Jesus so He can whisper in our ears and hearts and say to us, “I died for the whole world not just for Sommer Haven.”
Some of your visions are pretty blinded. He gave us the privilege of going out to the world. We say, “Oh, no! We are Christians and we are going to stay in our four walls. We aren’t going to get touched by the world.” How is the world going to get touched by us? You young people in training here, if you’re not here to hear the voice of the Lord, if you’re not here to be trained by the Lord then you don’t belong here. If you’re here for your own purpose, you don’t belong here.
16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
What are we doing toward the world being saved? Where do we stand before Almighty God, especially some of you young people? You have been in school here; you have been educated in the best in everything that God has provided.
The Holy Ghost is on me and I have to speak the truth. It’s going to shake some of you up, because you’re not here just to be here. God has called you or you are in the wrong place. I understand why our friends live here; but I am saying to you the Holy Ghost is speaking to our hearts. Why did Jesus die? He died for the whole world! Did He die for us? Yes, He died for the whole world!
How few people go out of their way to help others, they have their own agenda. Even here they get food, lodging, schooling, but it’s too much to wash dishes or scrub a floor. I was given a note last night telling me things were not done. This is a shame where God provides everything.
See those beautiful clothes those children have? Their parents didn’t pay for them, God brought them in. What are we going to do with God’s provision? I heard it’s like being in prison to be at Sommer Haven. Some of you young people that come here and are in school, what about it?
16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
What is our vision? What has God given to us?
Turn to John 17:1. “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2. As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21. That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
Why didn’t Jesus just take the disciples out of the world? We aren’t saved just so we can be taken out of earth to heaven. The purpose of salvation is to take salvation to the world. How much have we done with it? We’ve taken denominations and all kinds of things; but have we taken the kingdom? Have we allowed it to be established in us?
The Kingdom of God is simply Christ in us, the hope of glory. What is His purpose in us and what is the purpose of His kingdom being inside of us? What is the point of having the kingdom in you without a King? We talk and sing about Him, but where is He? Does He really dwell inside of us and do we really hear His voice? Does He really have charge of us?
“Lord, make them one even as we are one that they all may be one as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us that the world may believe that the world has sent me.” This prayer is for the world to believe, but there’s another part that’s going to do the work and this part is His glory in us. “And the glory which thou ‘gavest me…” He takes it and puts it in us. “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one…”
In 1st John it says that ‘God is love and He that dwelleth in God dwelleth in love.’ He says He is giving His glory to us and it will make us one in Him. “I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one…” Are we reaching for perfection? Are we allowing God to do the work inside of us so that we are completely transformed? “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou has sent me and hast loved them as thou hast loved me…”
Why is this world so important to God? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He’s calling us to perfection in His love. I can honestly say I don’t believe very many people know what God’s love is; because we’re too busy keeping up with the world. We’re too busy with our own affairs to realize that Jesus didn’t just die for us to go on with our affairs. He died for us that He might make us perfect in one that the world will believe and when He put His glory in us it was for this purpose.
The difference between believing and knowing is His glory. Where is His glory in us? I’m persuaded very mightily that God’s going to come to this earth in a way that man has not seen before. We are going to have to walk in the truth or the enemy’s going to take us out of the truth into deception. He said, “I in them and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou has sent me…” and that He loves them.
Does the world out there know that the Lord loves them? I think there’s several billion that doesn’t know there is a God. We sit in this chapel knowing Him; but how many out there don’t know Him?
1 John 4:8. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.”
John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1 John 4:15. “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. We have known and believed the love that god hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in Him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.”
How many of you know you are like Him? This is His desire to make us as He is. How is He going to do it? “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.” As He is, so are we in this world. What is God’s purpose for you and me? “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus prays this prayer for us. He is love and He desires for us to let Him change us into His love.
“You don’t know what I’ve been through!”
God knows what you have been through and His love covers all. We will stand before Him one day and as we stand there He will know if we are perfected in His love. If we’re not perfected in His love what is going to happen to us? He says, “Depart from me ye workers of iniquity.”
“But I got saved.”
What did you let Jesus do with it?
“I want to have my own life, I want to do what I want to do. It doesn’t matter.”
It does matter, because if we don’t allow Him to perfect us in His love we will never be as He is. If it were not possible He would not have given us John 17. It is not only possible it is a necessity, if we are going to make it in the kingdom of God. No maybes ifs or ands about it; because He made every provision for us to yield our lives to Him and make us perfect in His love.
“Yes, but you don’t know.”
Yes, I do know; I know what Jesus died to do this for us and I know He does it.
“I’m young and I want to do what I want to do.”
Jesus was young too. He came as a little child to bring His love to us. He died on the cross for us to be saved. But for what purpose; just to go to heaven? No, to go to the world to declare His kingdom to the world!
Where do we stand this morning with what Jesus has given us? What are we doing with it? ‘For God the Father, Himself, loves you because He has loved me and you believed I came out from God.’ Now Jesus is placing the responsibility upon us. Let Him fill us with Himself that the world might know who Jesus is.
We look at this world and it looks very hopeless. The leaders of the nations decided they didn’t want God or His anointed. They go in and destroy the people of the earth. But the command of the Lord is still the same. He called us to be filled with His love and glory.
I’m going to tell you something that’s going to happen in this world very quickly. God’s perfecting a people in His love. Jesus and the Father are going to take back the nations. He wants to take us with Him as He does; and remember if it’s His love in us it’s not us that is ministering, it’s God that is ministering to the nations of the world. It’s God’s love. “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
Our sleeping days are over. The Lord has brought the Spirit of Truth into this world and God’s in charge. It’s up to each of us to let Him take out everything in our lives that displeases Him and fill us with His love; so that Jesus can take us to the nations that the nations, through Him, might be saved. It’s not Sommer Haven doing it. It’s God doing it.
All over the world God is shaking; because it is now His time to show the world that He is God and that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.
John 16: 33. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Where was He going? To the cross! Where did Jesus overcome the world? In the wilderness! Where are we going to overcome the world? Our circumstances! What are we going to do with them? Are we going to allow the circumstances to rule us or are we going to rise above the circumstances? Are we going to allow Jesus to perfect us in His love?
He’s calling us unto Himself so that He, Himself, may take us to the nations.
“Oh, but I’m not a Missionary.”
If you know Jesus and you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, you’re a Missionary whether you believe it or not. I don’t even like the word Missionary; because people have such connotation of a Missionary. Jesus makes the difference. There are souls out the there that will make the difference. He didn’t redeem us just to take us to heaven; He redeemed us to go to the world.
When the time is up in this world our reward is heaven. The purpose of salvation is to take this gospel of the kingdom to the nations of the world; that they too may know Him and be saved through Him; that they may spend eternity with Him. There are billions yet that don’t know Him.
Where is our dedication? Where do we stand before Him? There’s no excuse, none. The most glorious life in, all the world, is to walk with Jesus and obey Him and be filled with His perfect love. Nothing else compares to it.
The Lord is sharing with us, this life eternal, that they might know Him, the true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. How much do we love Him? How much do we desire for Him to fill us with His perfect love, so that our light will go out to the people of the world.
The Lord sent us to China. We sent several containers to mainland China. I didn’t go as one of these ‘so called’ Christians going into take all China. I went in by the Spirit of the Lord, with the love of the Lord to the leaders. Maybe you’re not called like that, but God took me. They received me and gave me land and asked me to do a demonstration farm in 4 areas of China. But for what purpose?
I was at the capital, then I went into other places of China. A young judge came to my door and said, “God sent me to you.” I didn’t tell them I was a Christian. “God told me to tell you that the young people of China are going to arise in the love and glory of God and nothing and nobody, on earth, is going to stop them.
What are we talking about? We are talking about God’s love in us. I didn’t give them a speech about religion or about God. I demonstrated God’s love to their people. What did that do? It introduced them to the love of God. On my second trip we went to another place then on my third trip we went to yet another place.
A Chinese business man and his wife with me on the last trip! While we were at the airport waiting as we were going back to the capitol, a young women came into my arms laughing. I embraced her. Then a dozen people came and they just stand there and look at us smiling because they can’t speak English and I can’t speak Chinese. So my friends watched it. Then this woman comes back again and says to this Chinese friend of mine, “What are you doing in China?” We told her we were going to do a demonstration farm.
She said, “My father is a farmer and I would like to be a part of it.” When I got on the plane I could feel God’s love pouring out over China. What am I talking about? God’s love is not what we think it is. It reaches all over this world to the remotest area in the world that every living person may have the privilege of knowing God, the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit.
We went where we worked with the Charity Assoc. in 1997. This is 1999. This judge meets me at the capital and takes us to the Charity Assoc. They all gathered to meet with us. They were happy to see us. We were sitting at a big round table. All at once I began to sense God’s love coming out of me and going around that table. They said we’re like one big family. What would make us like one big family? God’s love would make us one big family.
So they just were very happy to see us. It was the Lord! We then go back to the capital. As we are flying out of China again, I felt God’s love, greater and mightier, going through me to both sides of that plane and flooding China with His love. I didn’t do it He did it. It was Him that did it.
I want you to know that God’s ways are not our ways, but we can know His ways and let Him move in us according to His own will and His own way. He has it for every one of us. We don’t need to fall short; all we need to do is open up our hearts and voices and let Him minister His love to us; then we can take Him wherever we go. He can take us with His love to the nations.
John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
How are they going to believe except someone is sent? I believe God was in charge before He let man be in charge. He let Satan be in charge, but now He is saying “I’ve had enough.” The world is going to know that Satan isn’t the creator, or man isn’t the creator; but that God is the creator. It was the Father that sent His Son that the world, through Him, might know His love.
God didn’t keep us on earth to just let us be in four walls of the church. I get disturbed when I hear of the thousands of people in the churches. God why aren’t they out there? When there’s billions that haven’t heard of God. What did Jesus die for? He died for us to take this gospel of the kingdom to the ends of the earth.
Before I went to Jerusalem in 1975, I was ministering in Louisiana and Texas and the Lord spoke to my heart. He said, “I want you to go to Israel as fast as you can.” He said call David and tell Him to pick you up tonight. Tuesday I had a meeting in Glendale. George Otis was going to Israel the following Monday
I said, “Lord, I think that’s a little too fast.” I called George and said, “You probably don’t remember me, but I hear you’re going to Israel.”
“Yes, Agnes, I know you. If you don’t have the money, borrow it.”
I’m not a borrower! I had some money that I hadn’t counted on it being for Israel. I counted it and had exactly my ticket from New York to Israel. I sent the money to George on Thursday; on Wednesday I booked my flight with a penny. The next day people started coming in and giving me money. By Fri. night I had my ticket and spending money for my trip to Israel.
Monday I boarded the plane with the rest of them going to Israel. We stayed at the Mt. of Olives at a big hotel. That night Jesus comes into my room and says, “You wonder why I brought you to Israel? I brought you here because I want to give you a special anointing to take you to the uttermost parts of the earth. It was mighty; the room was full of His glory.
I walked out to the desk and I tell them, “Jesus loves you.”
They say, “But we’re Arabs.”
I said, “Well, Jesus loves you too. He died for you too.”
“Who are you and where did you come from?”
What was it demonstrating? God’s love was demonstrating through our lives. We didn’t go preaching telling them, “You need to come to Jesus.” Jesus in us was revealing Himself to them. Everywhere we went they asked, “Who are you and why what did you come to Israel? God’s love went out all over Israel.
We are living in this hour and God is in charge. It’s not difficult for us if we want the Lord with our whole heart. If we yield our lines to Him; that’s all He asks of us. The moment we yield our lives to Him 100%, He receives us. His love takes the place of the garbage that’s in us, if we will bow to Him with our heart; He will receive us and we will be filled.
John 17:23. “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; that the world may know that thou has sent me.”
The world is going to know that there’s a living God and a Christ. Are you going to be one that’s going to transform your life with His love and let Him take you to the nations?
Let’s forget about being a missionary. Just remember God saved us to go to the nations. They don’t know; but they must know. He gave His glory to His disciples that they would be made perfect in one. His glory He has given to us that we might be made perfect in one, so we can go to the world that the world may know that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
He’s coming soon; but He can’t come until this world, nation after nation, knows there is a living God. He can’t come; this is the word of God. He can’t come until this gospel of the kingdom is taken to the whole world. The judgment of God is on the world; but with judgment is justice.
Isaiah 26:8. “Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of [our] soul [is] to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments [are] in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”
God is calling us to come to Him, to be filled with His love and glory, so that He can take us with Him to the nations. We aren’t going without Him and not unless you’re filled with His love. So if you are not willing to let Him complete the love in your life forget about going anywhere, except living your own life. If we love one another and the love of the Father is in us, then we are going to obey Him and He’s going to fulfill His plan for our lives. If we don’t love one another the love of the Father isn’t in us. If we don’t forgive one another the Father can’t forgive us. If we hate one another or can’t forget disagreements with one another, the Father can’t forgive us. If we can’t love one another, the love of the Father isn’t in us.
Where are we? Are we forgiving one another, letting go of the hurts. They don’t matter; let them go because every person is going to give an account before God. What we do with His love.
I remember a story, this man died in Africa and when he came before Him, he was hearing these voices saying, “Depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you. There was a woman that wasn’t a Christian came up and he hears them say to her, “Depart from me.”
Where are we going without the Father? We can’t go to heaven if we don’t forgive one another; we can’t go to heaven if the love of the Father isn’t in us. God is speaking to our hearts, today. His love must be in us so that we can go to the nations and they can know His love because of us. He’s going to take people to the nations with His glory, His love and provision; then they will know there’s a living God who loves them. He sent Jesus into the world that the world might be saved through Him.
He is the most important thing in our lives! Allow Him to have His way in everything concerning you; because the things of this world are going to pass away and you can’t take anything with you. All the richest people are frightened. When we meet our maker only the love and forgiveness in us, is going to bring us before Him and He will say, “Well done thy good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of the kingdom.” Where do we stand?
Precious Father, we bow before You. We thank You for everyone here; for every life from the youngest to the eldest. We thank You, Jesus, that You died for all of us, that we might live and take this gospel of the kingdom to the ends of the earth. Mighty Christ, we magnify Your name and we thank You for giving us of Your life. You, in us, shall proclaim Your kingdom to the nations. Speak to each of our hearts and let our lives be committed to You now, that we may stand in that place before God, and hear You say, “Enter into the joy of the Lord.”
Mighty God, this day we give You glory and praise; we magnify Your name for this word You have spoken. Glorify Your name and bring us closer to you. Thank You for Your wonderful love that will never fail. Impart this wonderful love into each of our hearts until it is overflowing. Make us perfect in one, in Your love.
We ask Your blessing on this congregation this morning, Lord, we thank You that it’s not by might or power, but by Your Spirit. Almighty God, we thank You for the fruit of this word and give You glory for it, in Jesus name. Amen.
