Hello again Family!

As this blog makes it’s way to each of you, we hope you are all having a nice Labor Day! It’s Monday again, which means it’s time for another update!

In our last update, Wanda Dawson and Karol Skinner had just arrived at our home, to spend a few weeks with us. Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Karol’s birthday in a casual get-together. Kim Etter and Grandma Dee joined us, as well as Frank and Amber Westphal and their children. Michelle Palma and little Edgar were there as well; having our friends around us always is a special time we love. A few days later some of the family took Wanda and Karol to the beach, and what a day it was! The weather was perfect and everyone was able to enjoy themselves!

We had a little surprise come our way, and what a fantastic one it was! Wanda announced to the family her decision to stay with us for a month. We were all overjoyed at the prospect of having a new addition to the family for a bit! So as we said good bye to Karol, we said hello to our new housemate! Wanda has been such a blessing with her help. We’ve been able to do so much with her here!

Teresa and Michelle had an opportunity to spend some time down in the San Bernardino area, at Sherman Indian School. The Lord has really, really blessed us by opening up the door in the way of Pastor Yaseer Handall. Pastor Yaseer was brought to us when we had first started working on Casaq the Eagle, through Virginia and Albert Dueñas at school function on the Soboba Indian Reservation (funny how God uses the people around us?). Not long after we met Pastor Yaseer, we began rehearsals for the play. During our last rehearsal, Teresa made the announcement that one of our dates had fallen through. Not even five minutes later, Albert Dueñas received a phone call, and we had booked another date, at Sherman Indian School! Imagine our surprise and joy to find out that Pastor Yaseer had been the one on the other line, having felt a prompting of the Lord to call Albert! Since that time, Pastor Yaseer and All Nations have been working together side-by-side. So that is how Teresa and Michelle ended up at Sherman Indian School last Saturday, at their Back To School function, being able to love on the Native Children of Sherman. We’re excited for the relationship that the Lord has blessed us through Pastor Yaseer and beautiful his family.

Another door that Lord has (re)opened is the opportunities to minister at different churches. Teresa has preparing for Hope Chapel’s annual Women’s Conference, on September 22, 2012, in which she will both lead worship and minister. She will also be leading worship next Sunday, September 9, at the Oasis Christian Church, and Saturday, September 15 at Westside Christian Fellowship.

In October, we will be traveling to Fort Mohave, Arizona to attend the First Nations Youth Revival, and bring Casaq the Eagle to the First Nations youth! We are incredibly blessed and excited about what the Lord has been doing amongst the Reservations of Southern California and what He will be doing across the U.S. on other reservations! We’re eager to bring the message of Hope and rising above present circumstances to the youth, and to all willing to listen.
