“The Armor of Intercession”
The millennium is not to prepare for the Kingdom; it is the Kingdom. The preparation is for us to enter in now. Heaven is not in the millennium; it is now. The power of that Kingdom has to come forth now in order for it to be completed when the time comes for the Kingdom to be brought down to earth but the spiritual Kingdom has to be brought forth now.
Rev. 12:7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 “And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
There was a war in heaven I believe that war is taking place. I believe God is bringing salvation and strength now and the Kingdom of God is coming forth in us and through us. Even now as the accuser is being cast down we are in travail and intercession. These powers will be destroyed off of the people; but God has to have intercessors. He is calling a solemn assembly of intercessors to bring about this very thing upon the earth.
I heard Jan say the other day that Morris Cerelo had been holding a meeting for many weeks in San Jose. Intercession is coming out on the people. God is do mighty deliverance in the Christians right now. It has already begun. People look at us because of how we stand in for people. I am going to tell you, that is what has pulled down the works of Satan.
Salvation needs to come; heaven does not need salvation and heaven does not need the power of Christ in the millennium. When we get to heaven we do not need to take it there. Right now we need it and this is for now, for you and I. God wants to teach us to enter into this spiritual warfare. It is not carnal; it is not done by our flesh; it is done by the Spirit of God.
Before I have heard people’s remarks about Satan and about us using the tongues to come against Satan. The word says you come against him by the Spirit of the Lord; if the Spirit of the Lord uses the gift of tongues, that is good. I am not going to contradict the Lord. For years He has used that method to deliver people.
Paul is writing to the Corinthians when they were questioning him saying he was moving in the flesh. “But I beseech you that I may be bold with that confidence against some as if we walk according to the flesh.” They were belittling Paul’s authority and the anointing that he had. He said, “…for that we walk not in the flesh; and we war not after the flesh.” They were trying to tell Paul that he was doing it by the flesh.
“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty, to the pulling down of the strongholds.” Eph. 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” 2 Cor. 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Eph. 6:18 “…with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” How are they cast down? Through prayer and intercession by the Spirit of the Lord!
We could pray with our little prayer meetings as the Lord and pulls down the strongholds; by His Spirit and His might. We are only the instrument through which God pulls down these strongholds. It does not just go to these things, it goes into our mind, it go into us to bring every part of our being into Christ and casting down all of these evil imaginations; casting down pride and everything that exalts itself above God. It is done in our mind and our attitudes.
We were praying earlier against the hate and the murder and all of these things. The Spirit begins to work in the mind then it goes into the heart. It brings the whole man to Christ. In Mark it speaks of one Lord and to love the Lord our God with all our mind and soul. Something has to take place in us so that we can love God with all of our strength. Not with our human love but with the love of God until He has filled our mind. Only then we will see our entire being changed through the Spirit of God; casting down vain imaginations and everything that exalts itself against God.
What are some of the things that exalt themselves against God? Pride is number one and it is what cast Lucifer out of heaven. Then there is stubbornness, exaltation of self and religious spirits. There is also anger, hate, bitterness, murder, strife, manipulation and an unteachable spirit. After you have these things removed from you, you are in readiness for Him to complete this work in our mind and hearts; then He will use us. We are going into spiritual warfare to pull down the strongholds of the enemy.
Paul says to put on the whole armor of God. What does salvation mean to you? For what purpose do we put on the armor of God? That we are able to stand against the wiles of the devil for we wrestle not against flesh and blood; but against the powers and principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places!
Now he is talking about us pulling these things down. It is He that has to do it in us to bring us into subjection to Christ; then He is ready to use us. Then we will be able to do spiritual warfare. Until we allow Him to do this, there will not be the authority to pull the strongholds down.
I remember there was one of our men praying for another one of our members and there was something that tried to keep him from praying. This is why it is important to get everything out of our lives as we continue to pray for others. We have seen these things through these months as He has begun to use us. He gave us the revelation so that we might have the understanding of what is in that person; not that we can judge them but so we know how to pray.

The first part of the armor He mentions here is that we cannot stand in half-truth; we cannot have a diluted gospel. We have to have the gospel of Christ; we have to have the whole truth and be girded with the truth. He said to stand in the truth. “Take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand in the evil day; stand therefore having your loins girded in truth.” What are you standing in? In the truth: having on the breast plate of righteousness! It is for the protection of the heart that we are standing in the truth; the fiery darts cannot hurt us. If we do not have a breastplate and we do not stand in the truth we have no authority. The righteousness in us is in the truth and we are protected against the enemy. There is nothing that he can touch if we have the truth and righteousness of Christ. Having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. What does the gospel of peace mean? It is to get ready to run! If you do not have the preparation you will not win. That is what is the matter with most Christians! They are not girded in the truth! They have not been given the truth; half-truth will not be enough. “Above all taking the shield of faith…” How are you going to use the shield of faith? It will not work if you are not girded with truth and righteousness; wherewith you will be able to have the shield of faith. Preparation is importation. We would not know what to do unless we are prepared by God with the helmet of salvation. God has given us the baptism of the Holy Ghost which is the sword of the Spirit. We are going to intercede; we have been prepared for battle.
