Zechariah 4:1 “And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,

2 “And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all [of] gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which [are] upon the top thereof:

3 “And two olive trees by it, one upon the right [side] of the bowl, and the other upon the left [side] thereof.

4 “So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What [are] these, my lord?

5 “Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

6 “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

7 “Who [art] thou, O great mountain?  Before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone [thereof with] shoutings, [crying], Grace, grace unto it.

8 “Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

10 “For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall

see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [with] those seven; they [are] the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

11 “Then answered I, and said unto him, What [are] these two olive trees upon the right [side] of the candlestick and upon the left [side] thereof?

12 “And I answered again, and said unto him, What [be these] two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?

13 “And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these [be]? And I said, No, my lord.

14 “Then said he, These [are] the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

I feel today that the Lord is putting the plumb line down with His people.  It is very important that we hear the word of the Lord and we obey the word of the Lord.  God has been patient with us; but now there is no more time and God is coming to terms with us; that we allow Him to take from our lives every hindering thing and bring about that which He has purposed for our lives.  “It is not by might and not by power but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”  I believe God is rising up a people in this hour that is moving by the Spirit of the Lord; trained by His Spirit, living by His Spirit and walking by His Spirit and obeying His Spirit.  The Lord has given great and mighty things; but the enemy is trying to come in to snatch away that which God has given unto us.

Some of us are not aware of the many things that belong to the enemy.  There are things in our lives that aren’t our own; but they are part of the enemy’s dealings in our lives and are the part of the flesh that God has to deal with and remove from our life.

In Isaiah He said, “…by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning the Lord will destroy the works of the devil.”  By the spirit of judgment because Jesus came to judge Satan in all his works and by the spirit of burning because He’s come to destroy the hay, wood and stubble out of our life by fire.  God is purging us, cleansing us and causing us to be as He is.

Tonight the Lord is speaking to us that it’s not by might and not by power but by His Spirit through the spirit of judgment that He is judging the works of Satan in our life.  By the spirit of burning He will defeat the works of our flesh in our life.

We shudder when we hear about the spirit of judgment; but remember it’s not the spirit of judgment from the devil who has come in to possess us or take over in our life, it’s God.  There are many areas in our life that we have not allowed the Lord to get in there and take it out.  Many problems that we have covered over and we have failed to remove the cover so the Lord can expose it.  We have it pressed down and we are heavy with it; but God has a perfect plan and it is very mighty.

It is by His Spirit that the mountain can be removed.  It is by His Spirit that He can take away everything.  In Isaiah 26 He said that He has ordained peace for us and He would take these things and destroy them.  The lords that have had dominion over our lives He would destroy them by His Spirit.  By the word of the Lord He will take them and remove them.

The word of the Lord came to Zerubbabel that it wouldn’t be by might or by power but it’s by my Spirit that this mountain will be removed and be made a plane. Tonight if you’ve got mountains in your life and things you don’t know what to do with then the Lord says that by His Spirit He will take them and take those mountains away and He will make it a plane before you.

There is something else that is happening also.  When He takes that mountain away there’s a cry that’s going to come forth and that cry is “Grace!”.  It’s God’s grace through Jesus Christ that He has ordained for us.  We will no longer be under the law but under grace through Jesus Christ.  A shout goes forth, “Grace, grace”,  is our portion.  So very much He wants to take out the root of these things from us.  “I have ordained peace for you and I will take those lords out of your life and I will destroy them and I will cause the memory of them to perish.”  The Lord even has a burial for them.  He not only destroys them but He buries them with no resurrection for them.

How many times do we have this happen? You think it’s gone and buried and all at once it’s resurrected but this which God has promised by His word will never be resurrected.  It will not live anymore; He will get it out of the way, bury it and have a funeral service for it.  Turn to Isaiah 26 and get ready for some heavy changes in your life.

12 “LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. 13 “O LORD our God, [other] lords beside thee have had dominion over us: [but] by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

14 “[They are] dead, they shall not live; [they are] deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.”

How many thousands of times in our lives have we wished we didn’t have a memory of something?  There’s a memory God has given to us that causes the memory of these things to perish.  All these lords that have had dominion over us He takes them and destroys them and causes them to die and they never rise again.  The problem with us is that we don’t know the word and we don’t know the power of the word.

If God said it, God will do it and we need to believe it.  We have seen mighty miracles from these few verses in our ministries.  We saw God take this stuff out of the people and cause the memories to perish.  He did it in my own life, never for it to be a part of my life again.  You need to let it stay buried because God isn’t going to dig it up.  God said you didn’t have a past as far as He is concerned.  He takes them and buries them in the sea of His forgetfulness and He doesn’t remember them anymore.  He has the remedy right here in Isaiah 26.  If you do this He’ll do the same for you and you will be free.     If we don’t hear Him, He can’t do it.  He said He has ordained peace for us but if we don’t believe and receive we will never have it.  He’s telling us exactly how to have it.  It is by His spirit; because He has to take them out by the Spirit.  He has to take these things out of our life that belong to Satan.

Remember we come out of a kingdom of darkness; out of a dark pit and God has to change our life.  He has ordained peace for us; peace of mind and freedom.  We can go on and on; but all of the things that He says, He will do if we believe Him.  He wants you to be free from torture, from the past. He is the only one that can erase that past.  We can’t do it and the devil won’t let us.  He’s giving you the remedy: He will take it away and cause that mountain to be a plane before you.

Jesus has said, “I will put my works in you that you might work the works of God.”  In His word He tells us how we can work the works of God.  It’s this very thing: we allow Him to take out of us the works of Satan and our flesh and allow Him to put within us His works which are righteousness, holiness and that which is good and right.  The Lord said, “I will take those lords and I will destroy them out of your life; you don’t have to be tormented by it.”

We can believe it or we can go on and be tormented by it.  Let’s believe the word and the power of God.  I know the power of that word.  I know what God did for me and the miracles that He wrought in my own mind and body because I believe His word.  I am not any different than any body else.  I had to receive it.  When I received it He did exactly what He said He would do.

I remember one time in my life when the enemy was about to destroy me because I let him do it.  Many of us allow the enemy to try and destroy us.  Yes we do!  We don’t have to allow it.  Why do we give him the time of day?  “The devil is doing this to me or that to me.”  I asked, “Why do you let him do it to you?  If you know it’s the devil you don’t have to give him any place.”

If we would stop and think about it, we would boot him out.  We would say, “God here’s your word and I believe it and devil you get out of here.”  I know when we were growing up and we didn’t want to hear anything we turned it off.  Didn’t we all do that?  Why can’t we all do that with the devil?  Are we afraid we are going to hurt his feelings? Maybe you will enjoy his company but I don’t.  The Lord has a remedy and it’s forever.  That devil can’t rise and be a part of you again because His word says so.  The problem is we don’t take hold of it and put it into practice.

I remember once I was having a difficult time and the Lord had spoken to me many times that it wasn’t the fault of my family, it was my fault.  If we don’t allow those things to affect us, they can’t affect us, can they?  So the Lord said to me, “You have allowed these things to destroy you.  Now you hear the word of the Lord” and He shook me.  The Lord said, “I asked you to do this. Now, I am commanding you to do it.”  If you ever had the Lord to do it to you believe me, you shake.  He said, “…now I am commanding you to do it.”  I said, “Yes Lord I will do it.”  When I said, “Yes, Lord!” all that stuff that had been so horrible just passed away before me and so did the memory.  I felt like God had done something mighty in my mind.  He had taken it away and caused the memory of it to perish.

I was wise enough to realize that I had caused it.  No body can do anything if we don’t permit them to do it.  No one can hurt us unless we allow ourselves to be hurt by it.  He made my head like adamant and I don’t care how many things come, I just say: “You did this in me and I can stand.”  His word says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”

Satan comes with all kinds of people and weapons; but we don’t have to let them prosper.  With my hard head it took a long time to get some of it through to me.  I murmured and complained and said, “I don’t deserve that kind of treatment.”  God said, “Why don’t you forget it?  It doesn’t matter whether you deserve it or not.”  That’s just as simple as it is most of the time; just forget it and blot it out!  If we can’t blot it out, He can do it!  It will never to be a part of our life again.

The devil makes a covenant that we have no control over, and that evil is so bad and it has been forced upon us.  We didn’t choose it but the effect of it is there.  God can remove it.  It doesn’t matter what has happened in your life before He can cause the memory of it to perish; but it’s up to us.  He has ordained peace for us.  He has come to move those mountains away and make it into a plane.  We can walk with Him and enjoy Him by His Spirit.  It is up to us to yield our life to Him and remember that He is taking us out of the kingdom of darkness.  He’s placing us in His kingdom of light and there is no darkness at all.

He wants to take all of it out and He wants to take the world out of us.  Sometimes He wants to take us out of the world and out of the fire.  Nobody wants to be burned in the fire; but how many times has the Lord had to pluck us out of the fire?  If we will hear His word tonight, we will hear that He has ordained peace for us and will remove those things from us.

Many years ago God spoke to me and said, “I have given you the gift of miracles.”  I have seen God do miracles by His word and Spirit.  There were times I would go to people and give them that word and they would look at me strangely and wouldn’t believe me.  The Lord stopped using me to work these miracles because they didn’t believe it.

God has a plan to set us free from the past, free from the torment of Satan.  He said He would take those Lords and He would destroy them.  I’m afraid that’s what you need to get rid of.  Some lady was here today and I ministered to her after dinner.  She said she wanted to turn and run out of this place as soon as she got in here.  The devil wanted her out of here!  The Lord couldn’t do the mighty work that He wanted to do in her life.  Don’t give place to the enemy; because God has given to us the spirit of love and a strong mind.  Don’t let the devil torment and tell you that you don’t have a sound mind.  Believe God’s word and hold fast to it.  He says He has ordained peace for us and He takes these lords and He destroys them and He buries them.

It is so wonderful!  I think about His mighty plan and His word.  We don’t need to be crawling around, we need to be shouting and rejoicing in the Lord our God for He has redeemed us and delivered us out of the hand of the enemy.  I can see the works of God that He wants a place in us.  He wants to kick out Satan.

The old flesh is going to burn anyway; the hay, wood and stubble aren’t going to withstand the judgment that is going to come against Satan.  God is going to judge him anyway so you might as well boot him out now.  You can have these glorious works in you to pull down Satan’s strongholds.  He is preparing a people that are going to be a strong and militant people.

I said one time on an Indian Reservation, “I think it’s time for an Indian uprising against the enemy to roll back the powers of Satan and let the Lord come forth.”  I believe that!  I am militant for the Lord and I don’t want to be any other way.  I love that militancy for the Lord; we don’t have to take the devil’s actions.  We don’t have to take it from anyone!  We just begin to pray and believe that Jesus paid that price.

Do you have the old man dead?  Jesus said that He took our sins upon the cross and He took the sin of Adam onto the cross with Him and He destroyed it.  He took us down into water baptism to His burial with Him and that old man went down there and was buried.  We were carrying him; but not anymore, he was dead because Jesus took him to the cross.  The devil wants us to think that the old man is still living there and he can pull all kinds of things.  But you tell him where he belongs, tell him who you are. You are a servant to God and he has to flee, for God did a perfect work.  When we go down through that watery grave we come up not after the old Adam but after the Adam that is spirit.  We come up after Jesus Christ, baptized into Jesus.

Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is within you.”  Who brought that kingdom to you?  Jesus did!  When we come to Him, He says you can enter into my kingdom now.  I wonder what we would do if we suddenly went into the Kingdom of God?  We might feel a little out of place.  God is saying, “Clear it all out now, then when you stand before me you will stand in the truth; you will stand in my light and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”  He has wrought His works in us.  It’s not difficult.  It’s a matter of our choice.  We choose to let Him do the work or we choose to do it our own way.  God says, “Give it to me and I’ll take it.”  I learned this many years ago and I never argued back with Him.  I said, “If this is what you want then this is what it will be!”

Tonight God is trying to give us His peace. He wants us to give Him all these things that worry us, which make us anxious and hinder the joy, peace and continual praise.  We don’t need those things.  I used to be the worst worry wart in the world.  If I couldn’t find something to worry about I would manufacture something.  If I didn’t have it yesterday, I would have it the next day or the one after that.  I was a wreck!  One day the Lord got a hold of me.  He would have to shake me every once in a while and ask me, “Why are you doing those things?”

Worry and anxiety is not of God.  He wants us to trust Him.  He tells us in Matthew, “Look at the birds and the lilies of the field.”  I have proven it and it is mighty, if we take Him at His word and His power.  Jesus had what the Father had to give to us.  That’s what He came down to earth with.  He didn’t bring His royalty or His deity; He just brought what God sent Him down with, for us.  There is a package designed for the human race by God the Father through the Son.  It was a perfect package to give us eternal life.  He gave it to us.

In the 17th chapter of John He said, “Father, I have finished the work that you gave me to do.”  He brought this package of eternal life from the Father.  He brought it through His death, resurrection, obedience on the cross.  I hear a lot of people say that Jesus was the Son of God therefore the devil didn’t bother him.  Satan poured out many ways, trying to knock Jesus off.  How would you like to be tempted 40 days and 40 nights?  I’m sure it was like a punching bag.  I don’t think Satan missed one punch at Jesus.  But Jesus had a word for him, “It is written…”  He didn’t use any of His powers as the Son of God, not one.

He didn’t have to! He came to bring a package to us that would give us eternal life and He didn’t fail in it.  Jesus is handing to us that same package and He said, “Take it into the world and whoever believes shall have everlasting life.”  If they don’t believe they will have damnation.  Jesus He gave it all to us.  He didn’t take any of it back to heaven with Him. He didn’t need to because He had everything He needed in heaven.  He didn’t need what He brought to earth.  I want you to know that He kept one thing: He kept His identity with man.  Think about it!  He forever became identified with us.  Even in this day Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father as the Son of man; He is identified with us.

What about us?  Jesus is asking us tonight to make our identity with Him.  Many won’t do it because they don’t want to lose their own identity.  But if we will have our identity in Jesus, we will have eternal life in Him.  If we don’t let go of our identity then He can’t give us His identity.

I think some of you have read a vision by Tommy Hicks.  This is a very powerful word that God gave to this man three times.  He said that He saw this great giant lying across the earth.  He was in the heavens and he looked down.  There was a great giant laying out from sea to sea from the North Pole to the South Pole.  And he stretched out all the way across.  So he looked at this giant and it had these creatures all over it and was bound and covered by debris.

He looked again and out of the heavens he saw the Lord standing with His arms and hands out stretched.  There was like molten gold going through His hands.  As he put out His hands there was thunder and lightning and as He lifted His hands that giant began to shake and convulse and shiver.  The creatures covering the giant all ran away.  The giant began to shake himself and arise.  As he watched, it was like molten gold and it was the glory of the Spirit of the Lord.  He looked again and the giant melted into the earth and out of the place of that giant came millions of people in every direction.

He heard in the heavens a command of the Lord.  He was sending them all over the remote areas of the world.  He was sending them to the islands of the sea and that liquid anointing went out and they ran with it and they didn’t stop.  “It’s not by might or power but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”  That is what God is doing on this earth today.  He is shaking this old earth and everything that can be shaken; and that which can’t be shaken is going to remain.  His kingdom that is within us will remain and everything else is going to crumble.

He said in Joel 2 that the former and later rains are going to come together.  You have the former rain but when that rain starts coming, with Jesus high up there in the heavens looking down on this old earth, God’s people began to awaken and stir and realize that God has called us into the world to bring this gospel of the Kingdom to all nations in the demonstration of His power. For it is not by might or by power but by His Spirit.

You can be a part of it, if you will let Him be your identity.  He is forever identified with you.  He sits at the right hand of the Father still a servant.  He hears our every cry; He answers the things the Father does with us.  We can wallow around in our junk with a lot of self-pity or we can throw it all off and give it back to the devil.  We can walk with the Lord free; filled with His love and glory.  We don’t have to walk around with fear and trembling or anxiety.  All we need to know is who Jesus is and what He means to us.

God is crying out to us in this day.  Sound the alarm in Zion, it’s time to arise.  I tell you one thing I know, God wants to do something very mighty on this reservation.  I know that God wants to show these people who He is and He is going to do it through you.  Let’s get rid of the devil and the bog down trash and give it back to the enemy.

One thing we saw in Canada that stirred my heart more than anything else, was how the Lord moved on these young people in the training center, and they dedicated their lives 100% for Jesus.  There is a unity and flow in that place.  They lost their own identity and identified with Jesus.  They began to flow with what God wanted them to do; to feed the hungry, to heal the sick, to cast out devils and to do these things that Christ commanded us to do.  I tell you one thing that was very remarkable to, I saw the power in the word of God and the demonstration of it.  I felt the power of the word more than I had ever felt it in all my life.

Jesus gave to us authority; He gave us authority by His name and through His Spirit.  Then why are we afraid?  We need to learn how to let God take the fear from us.  He didn’t ask if you were able; He commanded you to do it.  He didn’t ask me if I was able He commanded me to do it and I said, “Yes, Lord.”  I knew the odds against me too.  It didn’t matter, because Christ commanded me to do it.

We need Jesus to stand in that place and take these things out of our lives.  The Lord wants to set you free in your life and free in your mind.  I can testify that His spirit flows freely without hindrance of the flesh or the devil because God did it.  I’m His servant anointed by His Spirit to do what He has called me to do.  I believe in this place God wants to do something very mighty in your life so that you can arise in the place that God has for you in these last days.  I’m not afraid of the devil; I’ve never been afraid of him for God so mightily transformed my life by His Spirit.

He wants to set us all free in His Spirit and His word, filled with His power and glory.  He wants us to realize that He will do what He wants to do if we will just let Him do it.

Psalms 149:1 “Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise in the congregation of saints.

2 “Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

4 “For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5 “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

6 “[Let] the high [praises] of God [be] in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 “To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;

8 “To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 “To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.”
